Retired Mathematics Educator, International Studies Academy, Lowell High School (1989-2014) NASA-NEAT astronaut candidate (2004); lifelong musician & composer: mandolin, mandola, guitar, portuguese guitar. Albums: Nuclear Free Orchestra (1984); Psalms For Charlie (2015) dedicated to Charlie Haden; FuturePast: Classical Mandolin in a New World (2023). During my teaching career, I toured with and recorded two CDs with Portuguese Fado singer Ramana Vieira (we have gigs through Decemner, 2023); played three US tours with 3:05AM the touring band for Noel Redding, bassist for The Jimi Hendrix Experience; slept on a cot between Wavy Gravy and Daniel Ellsberg at Santa Rita Prison after civil disobedience blockades protesting nukes at Lawrence Livermore Labs--and they both snore! AT least one KXSF DJ and I are old Santa Rita & Vandenberg 33 alumni. La vida loca.
