Who is The Professor?

Rumor has it, in a previous life he played in a number of California-based hardcore punk / thrash / noise bands, ran an underground record label, and dabbled in a cornucopia of creative endeavors like journalism, brewing beer, promoting shows and painting acrylic dog portraits.

And some say he’s a goddamn liar.

Either way, as host of the shows Above Ground Sounds and Sunday Morning Prog & Grog on WXOX, The Professor's goal is to enlighten and entertain listeners with sounds and anecdotal tidbits from a revolving door of artists & genres, ranging from the legendary and well-respected to the obscure, forgotten or never-known.
